The hotel is situated inside Glacier National Park on the shores of Swiftcurrent Lake. It was built by the Great Northern Railway in 1914-15, to establish Glacier National Park as a destination resort.
The building was designed as a series of chalets, intended to entice visitors to leave the hotel and explore the backcountry in a more rustic manner.
Innspace completed renovations, including updates to the hotel’s 207 guest rooms, as well as common area furnishings, on behalf of client Xanterra.
